  1. Vacuums (the models with long hoses) work well. While you vacuum the webs, you will probably also vacuum some spiders and thus eventually you will have fewer webs.

  2. Washing them off is all you can do...can't get rid of all the spiders that would be imposible.

  3. Spiders are really bad this year.  In Pennsylvania where I live they are just all over everything.  Because my son and our neighbor's son also were bitten and had bad reactions we decided to call in the local exterminators to spray the outside, and inside of the house and our outbuildings (we also had stinkbugs- ewww). This has really helped, and we got the contract where they have to come back and redo it if the problem recurs.

If that sounds extreme maybe adding some birdfeeders would help keep the spider population down.  Otherwise, I guess you'll just have to hose 'em down!

    Good luck!

  4. Dust and clean.

Get a pole duster if you have to that will extend to higher places you can't reach up to or under well.  It's a simple solution but one you need to do every week to keep them out. For outside spray them off with a hose and buy some spider spray and spray the areas they were once it dries so the little buggers either die (big loss) or move on elsewhere.  Raid I believe makes a pretty decent one. You could also put diazanon (spelling??) from a hardware or landscape supply around the yard and house outside to keep them away and from coming back.

  5. Why get rid of them?  Spiders are nice to have around since they kill the bugs that you don't want in your home.  They pretty much stay within their webs and provide a service, so we leave ours and have never needed to use exterminators.

  6. Brush them away with a mop/ broom and keep spider's out your house only the ones you can see from making all web's don't try and kill them that would just make more mess.
