  1. It's probably your contact point. You want to make sure that your hand is on the top half of the ball and it will almost wrap around the ball during follow through...or at least it'll feel like it. Or maybe it's that fact that you're not following through on the ball. After contact, you want to bring your arm down to your side in a fluid motion.

You should ask your coach because they get to actually see it.

  2. I had this same exact prop. What i did is i was hitting it really hard and in the center of the ball. what i did was soften my hit and hit it at the top of the ball.

  3. no

  4. All i remember is snap the wrists.

  5. make sure you meet the ball at 1 o clock and not 12 o clock, im guessing your getting the ealier, many girls on my team have this problem make sure you stay  behind the ball at all times, and get your timing right, and when you hit make sure you follow through which brings the ball down, snap your wrist your breaking the way the ball is going

  6. You need a really fast arm swing to make the ball go down. Also you want to make sure that you are jumping really high and contacting the ball at it's highest possible point. It really depends what position you play. If you are an outside, hitting across the court or hitting straight down the line are equally as good. If you are a middle you want to hit straight down, preferably in front of the ten foot line.

  7. snap ur writste and jump high

  8. You should concentrate on contacting the ball on the upper half of it. Think of the ball in terms of a clock. If you stand facing the side of a clock, 12 will be the top of the ball and 6 is the bottom. You want to make contact with the center of your hand at around the 10 or 11 mark. Contact anywhere between 10 and 12 will make the ball travel downward. 12 is too sharp for hitting unless the ball is set really tight and you can get high enough over the blockers. If you hit the ball between 8 and 9 then you have to slow down your arm swing so that gravity will have a chance to pull the ball down before it goes out of bounds.

Practice hitting against the wall at a variety of points between 8 and 12 and you'll see what I mean. Try to make contact with your arm fully extended and just in front of your shoulder. Start hitting with a medium armswing speed and as you get more comfortable with where to contact the ball then you can start to swing faster. Snapping your wrist right after contact will impart topspin on the ball and help it to travel downward.

  9. Don't think on hitting the ball as hard as possible, but think about making the ball drop as fast as possible and the way you do this is by hitting the ball on top....let me tell you something, I was a volleyball player in high school, i played all positions but setter, i was 5.8 feet tall, and i could jump higher than most guys and when i got the opportunity to spike, i didn't, i always tipped the ball....that's because if you just tip the ball where it's almost impossible for someone to reach, you'll always score..... voleyball is a sport that if you play smart, it becomes better!!!

  10. when you swing sna pyour wrist at the end to make afist kind of. it will take a lot of practice and dedication to accomplish it , but when you do, the joys and feelings of hitting the ball and noone being able to get it.its the best feeling ever!!!

  11. easy...you jump and follow through.  take an approach that helps you get the height you need.

  12. Go back for your approach about to thr 10ft line on the court and as soon as you see the ball reach the appex (Highest point untill the ball starts coming down) run in watch your hand hit the ball and snap your wrist.
