Question:

Spilled Gas?

All right, so I spilled gas all over my dad's tractor. . . I cleaned everything up with paper towels, but I need to know if it'll catch fire when I use it again in two weeks. Should I hose it off before I use it? I'd rather not because he'll probably notice, but I will if I have to. Thanks!! ;-)

  1. The fuel will have long since evaporated away by then; it's quite volatile. Any residue from additives will be non-combustable. Just leave it be for a week or so.

  2. I would hose it just to be safe.

The gas would probably have evaporated after 2 weeks, but think of it this way...gas smells, water doesn't.

He'll be more likely to notice it if you don't wash it.

Besides, if he askes why you are hosing down the tractor, just tell him you thought it was getting dirty and needed a wash.

He might look at you like you have two heads, but just pretend you're just being a good kid.

  3. no it will be fine
