Question:

Spinach Dip Questions!?

I was wondering if there is a brand of low-fat, lower-calorie spinach dip that is store-bought, preferably not from the deli so it will keep longer, because I don't want to shell out for the ingredients since I will be the only one eating the spinach dip!

Also, is there anything that you can do with spinach dip besides using it as a dip or sandwich spread?

  1. i stuff chicken breast with it often and fry or bake them

  2. I think you will if you make your own you will be  "shelling" out less for the ingredients than if you buy it already made.  Store-bought spinach dip often has sugar or other additives. You can whip up an easy spinach dip yourself, and it tastes better too.  All you need is a 10oz package of spinach which is thawed and squeezed dry, a cup and a half of low fat sour cream and 4 teaspoons of Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing/Dip Mix (or dry vegetable soup mix).  Just mix together in a bowl and chill or if you want it smoother, mix it a food processor.

Other that using as a dip or sandwich spread, I think it would taste good on a baked potato.
