Spinatrix bidding for a hat-trick in the Armstrong Memorial Handicap
The most promising entry for the Class 3 Armstrong Memorial Handicap is the four-year-old bay filly, Spinatrix. The six furlong race will be held at the Ripon race course on Monday, 6th August. Twelve three-year and above runners have registered for the race that has to offer the winner the £6,931 prize money.

She cracked open the season with a second position in the PPR Foundation Handicap (Division I) on 19th April, 2012 at the Ripon race course over six furlongs. The race was won by, Thunderball, by the margin of a length.
Diktat’s daughter then ended third in the C. B. Hutchinson Memorial Challenge Cup (Fillies’ Handicap) on 20th May, 2012 at the Ripon race course over six furlongs. The race was won by, Misplaced Fortune, who defeated the favourite runner-up, Hallelujah, by a length.

On 2nd July, 2012, the bay filly out of, Shrink, won the British Stallion Studs E.B.F./ Park Suite Fillies’ Handicap at Pontefract over six furlongs. She won the race by the margin of just half a length as her finishing got threatened inside the final furlong by the reeling in rival, Bouncy Bouncy.
The favourite entry of the race, Wahylah, made peace with the third position after the winner.
The next stop for the bay filly was in the Bet Mobile At Betvictor.Com Handicap on 16th July, 2012 at the Ayr race course over six furlongs. The race turned out to be the second straight time that the filly won with Lee Topliss onboard. The duo landed the race by the margin of a head’s difference from the favourite entry of the race, The Nifty Fox.
She will race with the same jockey from the third gate today.
