  1. Some people find backside (BS) easier than frontside (FS).  It is completely a personal preference.  Many people find BS easier for different reasons.  If they spin 180's FS they are used to spotting the takeoff to tell them that they have completed the rotation.   To get this same visual feedback for a 360 you have to go BS.

One of the big things that happens to people is that they stop spinning as soon as they spot the landing. If you are spinning FS3, this is less likely because you are looking for the landing over your front shoulder. In a BS3 you will be facing the landing after 270 unless you keep your head cranked to look for the takeoff.

Where you are looking has so much impact on spinning (or snowboarding in general) that you should really think about what you are lookin - or where you should be looking.

  2. It's preference for everybody like iav8 said.  I prefer spinning backside because the initiation of the spin is easier for me.  Frontside always takes a lot more work for me.

What do you mean by nail them?  What's happening?  Overrotating?  Underrotating?  If you're overrotating, don't whip so hard.  If you're under, look more over your shoulder.

And this is an obvious tip, but if you can't land 180's, get those down first.

  3. i dont know frontside has always ben easier for me then backside just try bolth

  4. you probably feel you can spin faster frontside so thats what makes you feel more confortable but to tell you from expereince back 3's can be so much easier to spot your landing. if you feel very week spinning backside i suggest aproaching a larger jump than what you spin front on the fear will disapear the first time you land a solid one.
