I don't believe in either the spirit board or the ouiji board so i wont do them. the reason i don't believe is because it is so easy for other people to manipulate them for their own ends.

Although i do believe in the spirit world and them being able to communicate with us through other means.

Lol first of all honey it's ouija board not wedgie, you can use them by yourself so no, nobody is moving it but sometimes a friend will do it as a joke, I believe that it's real but there is a possibility that it's the sub-conscious muscle movements triggered by your brain which can be the reason for the planchette moving.

Probably the people themselves are moving it.  But the board represents evil so I would never own one or touch one or allow one in my house.  Why chance inviting evil into your life?
