Spiritually Speaking? Do you tip your doorman?

Question

I ordered some food, and the doorman brought it up and I had to give him money to pay the delivery guy but I also thought I should give him(the doorman) a tip, so I did but he looked at me really weird like why r u tipping me? this is insulting.

So...are you supposed to tip the doorman when he brings up the food? and how much?

And spiritually speaking? who's most likely to report this question?

What?? Well, to answer your question to the best of my ability, um, no, i don't order food.

I hate the tip rule...but i still end up tipping anyways cause society tells me to.

Your doorman's job description is to keep the building safe, and to make themselves available to serve the tenants.

Saying this, the doorman probably sees a lot of food deliveries, and making sure a delivery person and tenants get what they need is simply part of the job.

If the doorman does things that are extraordinary, or that are nice, feel free to tip them, and at least remember them at Christmas.
