Spiritually asking, have you ever been moved to break out in song and dance?

at random moments like they do in musicals?

I think the absurdity of doing such a thing has prevented me from truly enjoying musicals my whole life. I should start singing and dance the next time my boyfriend looks lovingly into my eyes to test the realism in random song and dance in real life.

If this has ever happened to you,.. did others start singing on cue and dance in harmony with your steps?

Peace and many thanks.

  1. Yes to the first question and no to the rest. LOL

My son will sing and dance with me, but that's as far as I've taken it.  And our choreography leaves much to be desired.

  2. Totally!

And look... I know that this is totally unnapropiate, but the other day I was at church and for the 3 hours I couldn't stop shaking my feet and fingers and like singing "This ain't a scene, it's an arms race" by Fall Out Boy. And the line that was stucked to my brain was when it says: "This ain't a scene, it's a g@%da#* arms race"

It was crazy, I'm telling you, I was like singing with my mouth closed and saking my fingers and head.

I'm not proud of it BTW

  3. I whistle and sing all the time.  Dancing is reserved for special occasions, or when I just want to embarrass my kids.  Now, dancing on cue?  Well that comes in about 1 hour from now, as soon as I find a good song and we have had enough to drink.  I think it'll be the hustle tonight; it just feels like a hustling night.  Let me inform my friends of that now. lol  No newspaper boys present.

  4. Yes, usually in elevators.

I do not know what is responsible. Perhaps I really do have soul?

  5. I have done that before. I was walking through the grocery store and I started singing and dancing. Everyone looked at me like I was crazy.

I am just weird. I have always done things like that. For others I guess its just because they have the urge to sing and dance.

  6. Yahoooo Ahhhhhh Higher Higher Higher  Yahoooo ahhhhhh

I do, sometimes, when I am in a great mood and something strikes me as exceptional.

Or when I am driving with my kids and want to embarrass them at stop lights.

  7. The closest I've felt to doing a solo sing and dance musical was when my mother in law finally moved out! I grabbed the kids and my dog and we all did our own musical number.  It was contagious! Good times....

Come to think of it, I always sing and dance at home for no reason. I just realized.

  8. Dancing queen young and sweet only seventeeeeeen, oh yeah

OWWWW! I stumped my d**n toe, thanks alot!

  9. I broke out near that on a mountainside when I realized God had moved in His sovereignty to shatter my plans, bring me to a breaking point and humbling that brought forth His plan which was a thousand times better that my plan. I was absolutely overwhelmed at the inconceivable blessing of His plan. It was way beyond what I ever imagined or could ask for.

  11. Yes!  I can sing to the heavens, off key, as it may be!

But dancing is another thing.  I leave that to my kids.  I would probably 'break a leg'!

  12. Yes i have. Many times, mostly in public, with thousands of people around.

They usually join in. Or laugh at me...

  13. I agree. The only two musicals i have ever liked are Singing in the Rain and Dancer in the Dark.

    Otherwise I need a bucket.

  14. Nah.. it only happened to me whenever I hear "Nutbush City Limits"... I got me a serious Tina Turner shimmy goin' on, babe!... oh.. and also the "Black Betty" cover by Spiderbait.... now that's a mighty fine song for jigglin your do~dads, right there.

  15. Yep.

Good music just has to be felt sometimes.
