Spiritually speaking, is it safe to assume anyone whose questions and answers are private is a D.H.?

Because you get some right ones on Y!A ..... and all their Q&A are all private. So maybe making Q&A private is what DHs do.

Is that assumption safe, or are there some OK people who have their Q&A private?

It just protects you from some psycho rummaging through your Q&As in order to report everything. Trust me, it is a good idea.

You don't go private unless you plan on making a few enemies here.

Also, people who think they are not aholes and are being stalked for no good reason need to get a clue.

I think it's just a good idea, having experienced having someone go through months of my answers and report every one they thought they could get away with ... unfortunately for them they could only find two questions that were 7 months old that they could report.

I have also changed the settings for a friend or two, just to allow them to peruse the questions and answers.  Then I change them back when they are done.

There are some people who get targeted by trolls and have to keep their Q&A private so they don't have to keep changing accounts, at least that's what they say, mine are all open but I haven't had any problems, but maybe what I say isn't interesting enough for the trolls to bother with:)  So, although there are some that def` do it for the reasons you state, there are some who are innocent:)

I don't know what D.H. means, but some people who have made their profiles private have done so because of the report trolls.  Many decent people on here have lost multiple accounts to the report trolls.

Many people who make their questions and answers private do so because they had a bad experience with people "following" them and giving them thumbs downs for no good reason.

If you have little trolls harassing you all the time you will also set your Q&A to private.

I didn't even know you could report a question. I have reported some answers, where there was spamming... that's it, I'm a nice person!
