Examples? Since you asked for "examples," in that minute, Sarah Palin said that Venezuala might shut off discoveries. How do you do that, exactly?

Huckabee was the real train wreck of non sequitars...

  1. I couldn't handle it, I switched to Americas Next Top Model.  Its easier to tune out with the masses then actually listen to the people running this country, that's is way too depressing.  Only 138 days.....

  2. d**n, you read my mind!  I was just thinking that.  I don't usually express strong emotions about US politics, but watching this convention, I am thoroughly disgusted.  They talk in absolutes, shamelessly throw dirt in every direction, spew logical fallacies and throw out empty one-liners, while the brainwashed idiots in the crowd eat it all up and get worked up into a frenzy.  Extreme disgust is what I am experiencing.  The only comparison I can draw is to n**i Germany, with the masses being whipped into a mindless frenzy by the nonsense-spewing leader.  You think these fools would have learnt their lesson from the hits they took for their sleazy tactics after they lead to the quagmire in Iraq.  It seems like history is poised to repeat itself, but I never thought it would be so soon.

To sum up, I am disgusted!!

  3. I wanted to jump through the screen and wake the Kool-Aid drinkers up. They make me so damned sick!

  4. When your hairline is receding as much as mine is, you try to avoid situations where you're just going to pull your hair out.

  5. S.S. I don't watch the RNC. I don't even watch the DNC unless it's on the Daily Show. Which it was.

  6. too busy listening to Obama's speeches shouting out no you got the number of states wrong, Alaska and Hawaii are not 1 state and trying to find actual plans behind his randomly yelling hope and change

  7. I was told I can't listen to NPR anymore until the RNC is over.

  8. This country tends to elect horrible presidents for eight years in every twenty. Now you know why.

Much of the public doesn't want to listen to nuanced debates about national policy, many have a chip on their shoulder and would like nothing better than a chance to vent.

If our politics degenerate much further, we might as well have Vince McMahon decide our fate with one of his Wrestle-mania spectacles.

  9. Yes!

  10. Just...  LOL...

  11. Nooo, I just resist the urge to gouge my eyeballs out...

  12. Interesting...watching now....think "they" wrote her speech....lol

She helps lie about taxes.  Obama wants to cut taxes for most people but Sarah makes it sound like he does not!  She is lying about that, just like the rest of her compatriots!

  13. Spiritually speaking, I've not watched any of it and surprisingly enough, I've been able to accomplish this with very little effort.

  14. No, I got tired of that during the DNC, it got boring after awhile.

  15. not quite exactly. well not towards the RNC. but when it comes to sports games and contests, yes, i do shout at the contestants and players for their mishaps and methods. you should've seen me during the BEIJING OLYMPICS!!! ^_^

  16. palin also said, i believe, tha she was the mother of one of our troops. i also loved the governor of Alaska who tired ot convince everyone that Alaska is a very important state because it has as many electoral votes as Delaware ( which is a tiney state ) and then goes on to say pointlessly that you can fit many many Delawares into Alaska.

i also love how they jump on obama for having no executive experience and don't point out that mccain doesn't either. they're both senators for crying out loud.

  17. examples?

  18. I see so many fallacies, wishful thinking, scare tactics, strawman, hasty generalizations.... it sucks!! Its all a scam!
