Spiritually speaking, why are "TV ugly" chicks so hot?

Most of the people on TV aren't natural at all so maybe that's what's making you think they're prettier than they actually are irl.

Like the first guy said. Marry Ann was "ugly" and Ginger was the pretty one, even though in real life Dawn Wells was a Miss America winner.

Because in T.V. Everybody is beautiful. Even the ugly chicks. Unlike real life.

Because we, the ugly girls are prettier than the typical beautiful ones. There are no ugly people.... only weird kinds of beauties :)

They sell the dream, not reality.  A few years ago there was a movie called SOAP about a soap opera with Sally Field and others.  There was a scene with lots of homeless people.  All were oiled and tan with capped white teeth and flawless bodies.  Hollywood at its best.

We don't watch what we see every day in reality.  We come home and want the dream for a few hours.  That is what the people that want all our money know.  So that is what they put on the shows.
