  1. I would imagine that it would be a mother who knows that she will be raising her children to be strong, independent thinkers who don't need to conform to the status quo - good for you Sarah Palin !

  2. I think they are unique for now... in a few years they will be popular and common though...

I like the names, although I think Trig is a bit of a strange one. But I can get used to it.

  3. The names aren't usual of the Judeo-Christian tradition, or the inuit tradition -- which might mean something deep, it might just mean that they like unusual names, or it might mean that they picked random words out of a hat.  It's the least objectionable fact about Sarah Palin's long list of questionable decisions, in my opinion.

Bristol is odd, in that it's not a traditional first name, although using surnames as first names used to be a somewhat common practice, except the surnames usually were related to the child in some way or another.

Piper is actually an English-origin name  that gained popularity in the U.S. during the late 1980s/early 1990s..

Track is definitely an odd name. A little like naming your child "Lamp" or "Apple."

Willow, like Piper, is an English name that gained popularity in the late 1980s/early 1990s.

Trig *could* be an alternative spelling of the Scandinavian Trygg, which means "True/Faithful."  Or it could have beat-out "PreCalc" on their list.  I guess it's better than Pilot Inspektor.

Barack, by the way, is an east-African name meaning "Blessed."  It's origin lies in the Hebrew word "Baruch," which begins almost every significant Jewish prayer. ('Baruch atta Adonai...')

  4. I quite agree, although I kinda like Maynard,  Quakenbush,  Beelzebub or Iggy   .......but clearly I am in the minority!

  5. Barack?

  6. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, miss.

I like Willow, though. I suppose she's a very Earth influenced woman! Nothing wrong with that.
