Spiritually speaking...of course...?

Question

During Roman Gladiator events giving the thumbs up was in indication to kill the gladiator, while a thumbs down was a show of mercy. So...anytime we thumb up an answer...aren't we just saying we should kill the guy?

The thumbs up was to show mercy, thumbs down meant to kill the loser. Read the right history book will ya.
