Spirulina Powder Form?

My husband ordered Spirulina from Thailand. He saw the brand name from the Show Bizarre Foods. Anyway, we have tablets which say to take 4-8 a day but we also have it in powder form with no directions whatsoever. The website is www.gd-1.com. How do we use this powder and how much? My husband mixed it in some water and had one sip. He said it was horrible. What are the benefits?

  1. The usual daily dose for a 150 lb. adult is 1 level tablespoon of powder. Mix in juice. Lots of people drink a health smoothie once a day w/ yogurt, protein powder or nut butter and various fruits blended together.
