Guareenteed after every bottle..every meal my daughter spits up. She doesn't puked everything up though, but enough to make me a little concerned.

I took her to the doctor and all he said is that it is normal, but everybody that I talk to say that she should have grown out of it.

My first daughter has never puked a day in her life (knock on wood). So it seems so weird for it to be happening.

She a healthy 20 lbs, but it's scary and a little embarrassing everytime she eats she spits ups.

Is this normal? Will she do this for awhile? Or will she grow out of it?

But on a good note...I can't smell it anymore.

  1. this is normal.. its usually just a sign that baby may have had a bit more then she needed.. or maybe her body is rejecting the milk. try switching her milk or feed her a little less next time she eats.

  2. She most likely will outgrow it by 12-18 months.  Some babies are just spitters!

My (almost) 6 month old still spits up very frequently...  But he's gaining weight very well and he's not in pain/unhappy at all...

As long as the spitting up isn't causing those type of problems, then she's fine!

Always keep a burp cloth handy!! =)

  3. My daughter is 7 months old as well, and she still spits up. My dr said that it is indeed still normal...and people still tell me that she will grow out of it...it concerns me too, don't worry. My carpet though on the other hand would like her to stop as well!!! It looks like I never wash it cause of all of the spots she spit up in! I am glad to know that my daughter isn't the only one that still does this, maybe we shouldn't worry as much?!?! Good luck.

  4. i have 3 kids and they were all spitters and it seemed to take forever to grow out of it. i literally had to warn everyone "be careful hes a spitter" by the time my kids were on baby foods it seemed to go away, not the first foods that were runny. it was about 12months before we were done spitting although i have a 9mth old niece who seems to be out of her spitting stage. it really varies, either way your about half way done with your spitting until next baby!!

good luck and get used to it
