Spitfire Spirit favourite for Adopt A Retired Greyhound On 01142 888300
Spitfire Spirit has been rated as the favourite to win the Adopt A Retired Greyhound On 01142 888300 at Sheffield in England on Monday, May 21, 2012. The winning greyhound will walk away with a cash prize of £86.
A total of six quality runners will be seen in action over the 500 metres Grade A4 event, which is scheduled to start at 11:28 GMT. Their names are as follows: Spitfire Spirit, Adamant Shaw, Broadacres Diego, Podge And Rodge, Stepaside Beatie and Jubilee
Holly.
Although Spitfire Spirit has not been able to win over the past few events, the bookies expect him to deliver a strong show today. He has got a lot of experience, which will help him attract some bets in his favour.
The R. Warren’ trained hound has raced only at Sheffield throughout his career, which means he will be fully aware of the conditions at this venue. He might find the competition to be quite easy in this class, but will have to be at his best in order to
take the top spot.
In his most recent outing, the black dog failed to make an impression, as he finished sixth overall. Despite not being the favourite, he was expected to fight for the top three positions. However, he was simply unable to match the speed of his rivals and
had to settle at the bottom of the table.
Spitfire Spirit got badly crowded at the start of the race and he faced that problem halfway through the competition as well, which shows that he was a touch unlucky. If everything goes well for him in today’s race, he will definitely take the top spot.
He is the son of Hades Rocket out of Rockmount Euro and was born in January 2008. He is the most experienced runner, who will be seen in action at Sheffield.
Other than the race favourite hound, Adamant Shaw might also manage to make an impression in the race, as he is carrying very good momentum right now. He was victorious in his most recent outing, which shows the kind of form he is in.
However, things will not be easy for the J. Walton’s trainee, who is the son of Black Shaw out of Bradan Niamh and was born in April 2010.
