Splash Mountain, at Disneyland? Best Answer 10 pts.?

Im going to Disneyland tommrow, and I am really scared of going on that ride, but I HAVE to go, because i need to stay within my group? I HATE drops, espically scary ones, is this one scary? Comparable to Jurrassic Park's drop?

Compared to Jurassic parks drop this is nothing! You wont even feel it, It's very sudden, just hold on to the front of the seat and scream. Trust me, if you can take the Jurassic park drop, then Splash Mountain is nothing!

I have been to disney 4 time prior to my last visit. I never went on splash mountain for the same reasons you described.  The last time I went i rode it and was like what i was i afraid of there is nothing to fear about this ride in fact I went back and rode it again since

psh! its not that scary... at first it is, but its a bunch of fun!!! the ride starts off slow and its all joyful then u go up then u go down fast and they take ur picture!!! its awesome! espescailly if its hot out cuz ull get wet!

Well, Jurrassic Park is about a 70 foot drop.. Splash Mountain is about a 50 foot drop.  In Jurrassic Park, you feel yourself lifting up from under the bar.  Splash Mountain, you'll be totally fine as long as you hold on the bar and don't look down... closing your eyes might help.. Trust me, its not scary.. there's a lot of cute animals from the adventures of brer rabbit... jurassic park... freaky dinosaurs..

No, it's not that bad.   The worst part of it is the long line you'll probably have to wait on, before you even get on the ride!

Most of it is just a gentle coast down the water slide.   There's a drop at the end, but it only lasts a second or two.  

And depending on where you're sitting, you might not even get all that wet.

I have been to the one in disneyworld, and they are all the same. There is only one big drop and it is fun and very short.

the worst thing is getting wet, and listining to the ducks sing.

Trust me, jurrasic park is longer and you can hardly feel a thing for splash mountain...I hope you decide and actually go on it you wont regret it! its very cute inside and it has a few small drops inside of the ride aswell...a very small one though..its really fun one of my fav rides at disneyland...have fun!!!! =]

First, its not as bad as jurassic park.

second, there is a secret to prevent that dropping sensation.  face and keep facing the front of the boat during the drop. it will make it feel more like you are going fast. if you look out into the horizon it will seem like you are falling.

no its not bad at all...you will go on it again if the line isnt long

tips: duck behind the person infront of you to avoid getting wet.

there are several little drops and personall the small one at the beginnig freaks me out more than the big one at the end.
