i was walking on grass today and stepped on a woodchip and got a splinter on the bottom of my big toe. its really small and in pretty deep (as in a cant get it out) i tried tweezers, a needle, glue, NOTHING is working. and the worst part is that its in the middle part, which the skin is really soft and sensitive. what can i do? PLEASE HELP!!

if nothing works then can i just leave it there until it falls off on its own, or will it get infected??

  1. Try to work it out, but don;t worry eventually itll come out, just keep it clean!?!

  2. Watch the area if there is any swelling or redness. Don't mess with it anymore... If it hurts and it looks infected, have you doctor look at it. I had splinters before and I just left it alone. But don't wait too long to see your doc if you think something is wrong...

  3. i have no idea how it got so wedged in there...

    try new things..

it could get infected but put a bandade on it...

    neosporian as well

  4. Try first washing it then get a potato core it out big enough to cover your toe covering the splinter or you can grate the potato and put the peelings on top, cover with a bandage untill morning. Then try with trezers

  5. yes it will and go to doctor

  6. You could try cutting a piece of potato to see if it'll draw the splinter out b/c the starch in the potato tends to open up the skin more drawing out whatever it is in your skin. Eventually it should fall out on its own. But if it starts to get infected then you may want to see a doctor.

  7. soak your foot in water and it may loosen it up and you might be able to get it out

remember to sterilize the tweezers :D
