Anyone else think this section should be split to martial arts, MMA, and the VS (*** vs ### ) sections?

  1. Yes!!!

Perhaps it would lessen biased opinions as some people think only their style is best ,why not have sub categories in the ma section ,then people can rant all they want with like minded individuals.

    Just my humble opinion :)***

  2. Yes please

finally those kids will have somewhere else to kill their time.

  3. It took your question 4 hours to get to the bottom of the

page.I dont think its that big of a problem, and I dont see

the difference between Martial arts and mixed martial arts.

I dont like the who would win questions either but I dont

think we need a who would win a fight section, just skip it

and go on to the next one. Thers alot of martial arts elitist on

here who take Y/A a bit to seriously and act like this is their

dojo's official forum. If you want a martial arts forum where

you talk strictly about martial arts go find one.

  4. I do think so and I don't. some people in here are very good at answering both mma and traditional martial arts questions. how ever it would be nice if the mma bigots and traditional bigots had their own sections. the vs category would be good to because some times or all the time they do not belong in here.

  5. I do not think that actual technique questions should be seperated, because even as a traditional artist I find that I can learn stuff from questions about techniques used in MMA's.

My main problem is with all of the UFC fan questions. I would like to see a whole different UFC section, so that questions like "what music did so and so come out to", "where can i get this shirt that so ansd so wore", "who will so and so fight next", etc. add nausium. How many rampage was arrested questions have been posted so far? At least 6 I've seen. Other then him being in the UFC, I can see no way this is a martial arts related topic, It is a ufc topic.

I also think that if you split the UFC questions off, you would have a lot less answering of serious questions by people who's knowledge of the martial arts comes exclusivly from watching the UFC. I mean really have you seen the stupidity in some of the answers? I really see this right after the pay per view's, when every poser and fanboy wants to be on here.

As for taking this section seriously, quite honestly if you are going to train, the only way to do it is seriously, with intent. I simply don't like sorting through 100 questions that should go in the poll questions. Splitting it would simply seperate the serious questions from the opinion and vs questions.

I swear reading some of the answers by UFC nut grabbers to actual technique or style questions has made me lose IQ points. The sad part is somebody who really needs help might actually beleive them.

I also do not feel that the UFC is Mixed Martial Arts. It  should be called  mixed fighting techniques. Do not get me wrong I admire the guy's for their skill and training, but it only show's one aspect of the martial arts, which have many sides.

So I am in favor of seperating the UFC questions from the rest, but not specific technique questions or questions for help.
