Split heat pump or self contained system.?

Which is a better Heat pump system for a 2,000 Square foot home. A split system or self contained?

At that square footage, the split system is the only way to go.

We had a 1600 sq ft house in a very hot climate and our  single roof unit (6 ton) was about as large as you could get.

Every other house I have been in that is 2000 sq ft and larger has one or more split units.
