I had an old DVD player on my Sony but it would not play certain formats and stopped working. So I replaced is with a newer DVD player with progressive scan - Samsung. The picture is split and compressed at an angle. When input is from the cable the picture is good.Any ideas?Im using a sony dvd player and facing the same problem. Not able to turn off the progressive scan mode. Please help me to stop the progressive scan. Holding stop key for 5 seconds did not work. Thanks,
