  1. A full sole will make you work harder to point your foot, therefore strengthening it, when younger children start ballet, they are given full sole ballet shoes, to help to strengthen there feet.  However there are other ways to strengthen your feet exercises and so on and i think split sole are much more comfortable and make your feet look better, and are easier when you are doing demi-pointe work, but i would talk to your ballet school, they might have a preference about what they want you to wear.  I hope this helps.

  2. They keep saying that you should have a full sole because it strengthens your feet... But no You should have a split sole. Even if you are a beginner. You can strengthen you feet with the spilt sole. They are the proper kind. But I do not know what kind you studio wants you to have so I would ask them to make sure before you buy anything.

  3. yes its true. to learn to have a natural point and such. it works the feet. for split sole you have to have pretty strong feet because when you go into releve [on your toes] you have to be able to hold yourself up very high. you learn how to hold yourself up with the full soles. yeah...

  4. definitely full sole for begging!! it helps to strengthen the foot, by working it a bit harder.  have fun with ur ballet class!! =)

  5. split sole is easier to pointe your foot...and full sole is a little more stiff. Since your prolly not a little girl it really dosent matter..it wont make much of a difference.

  6. If your are older than 10 then defiantly the split sole

  7. i have been dancing since i was 2. i wear split soles. i am 13 and i think as a beginner when your not a little girl to wear full sole they are easier to point in and they look better i also  wear canvas but that depends on your studio. canvas tend to look better on my feet.

  8. Well for a beginner you should get full sole because it is harder to point your feet so it makes you work harder and get a better point...but you do have to work a little harder to point :D
