Question:

Splits and side splits?!?!?!?

ok so im going back to dance but not at my old studio

it has been EXACTLY one year, and im going to attend a dance camp on the 23rd of june. yeah i noe its reely soon but does anyone think its possible to get ur splits and ur side splits to the ground

in wat two weeks?

if so can you please tell me how exactly and maybe some instructions?

  1. keep doing your splits everyday, when you do the splits lean over your front leg and try to touch your nose to your knee then lean back and try to touch the back of your head to your back leg. switch legs.

    sit on the floor facing the wall and do a front split and keep pressing towards the wall with your whole body.

    sit on the floor and put your legs to the side of your body forming a v and lean over and try to press your body down to the floor. lean over each leg and hold.

    lay on the floor at at door way and put your butt against the door frame with one leg against it and put your other leg through the door frame and slowly sit up and hold, then switch legs.

    do the splits on the floor but put weights underneath your ankles so then you legs and body aren&#039;t touching the floor and try to go all the way down

    it should take a few weeks, depends and how much you stretch. I hope I was able to help you.


  2. yeah.

    i got all 3 splits in 1 week by doing this everyday and now im EXTREMELY flexible!

    when ur brushing ur hair or teeth in the morning and night slowly slide into them more and more each time.

    another is going agaisnt a wall and putting ur legs out as if in the middle splits then scoot ur butt closer and closer.

    ummm another is pushing urself into them all the way then doing that every time you have the chance.

    and a last really good one i did and do is go in a straddle to where you get the slightest strech then grab ur toes and try and touch ur pelvis to the ground with ur back straight or have someone pull ur arms while still in the srtaddle position.

  3. had this same problem a couple years ago and my dance teacher gave me some really great advice. it worked for me hope it works for you.

    the most important thing is to be super duper stretched. you hold each of your stretches 30 seconds and squeeze the muscle that is tight, when you let go you will go down so much further its kinda scary. but after your stretched put on the TV and i would make sure that its a show you really like and make you oblivious. there are two different ways to do it

    1-go into your splits and hold them during the commercials and stretch and relax during the actual show

    2-do your splits during the actual show and stretch and relax during the commercials

    if you want to really work on your starttle go against a wall and gently push against it until you can&#039;t go any farther, hold it and when you relax push a little more

    you dont have to do this while you watch tv but i found it easier because its distracts you a little, listening to music talking on the phone, texting, and stuff you enjoy works really good to

    everyone can do the splits but its you nerves that tell you when to stop, simply push them and you will have your spilt in no time

    and as weird as it sounds it works i got my strattle in a week!
