Splits help ??

i am a dancer and i do approx 10 hours a week of dancing but i cant get my splits

i need them for a compoetition

what are some quick easy stretches i copuld do to get all my splits

btw

they need to be easy as i have bareley any strecthiung time

  1. every dancer knows (or should know) that to be good at what you do you need to do it everyday.... so by saying that you dont have time to strech makes it sound like you dont care... if you really want to be able to do the splits you need to make time to strech....


  2. just tear your hamstring  and suffer for the rest of your life ^^

    that's the fastest and easiest way if you don't want to stretch an hour everyday

  3. if your trying to get the middle splits, lay down on the ground facing a wall, and put your legs up in the air. then put your legs in a stradle and pull yourself as close to the wall as possible. stay there for a minute and then have someone push your legs down farther.

    if your trying to get your left/right leg splits, take an object that is strudy, flat on top, and that is maybe 4 or 5 inches off the ground.Go into the splits with your front leg on the object, and try to get your butt to touch the ground. Just a heads-ups, this will probably make you sore for a few days.

    These are the two of the best ways i know, that my dance coach told me to use, to get my splits and they worked really well. I hope I was some help! Good Luck trying to get your splits!

  4. if you dont have much time in the day you can lie down straight on your back and then lift one of your legs keeping the other straight and on the ground and then pull the one in the air towards yourself by grabbing your pants or your leg.

    Another way-which guaranteed will help if done properly- is you place your foot on a chair or stool and then slide the other foot behind you backwards so you end up doing either a right or left split diagonally. check to make sure you are in a straight line and that both legs are not bent or anything. then bounce up and down so that you get stretched (this technique can help in getting an over-split if you'd like).

    The last one I know is you lie down on your belly with your legs spread apart and then have an open wall behind you so your legs are opening up to the wall and then push yourself towards the wall -still lying down. and hold it there to get your middle splits.

  5. 1-warm up a little (could even be just a 5 min. warm up)

    2-go down into your splits

    3-hold for about 30 sec.

    4-push yourself down a little more

    5-repeat....after a while rest for a little bit then either do it again or do it the next day

    If you do that you should have your splits in no time. When you do get your splits, you should practice everyday to maintain them.

  6. Okay, my dance teacher taught me this:

    1. Go down in a split (any of them) as far as you can.

    2. Count to 10.

    3. Take a deep breath in.

    4. Release the breath. You'll go farther down.

    5. Repeat until you hit the floor.

    Do that everyday, and soon you'll automatically do the split every time.
