Question:

Splits problem?

i still can't do the splits and i've been doing ballet for a really long time. what are the stretches you have to do before and after?? like the basics stretches to be able to do the splits.

i appreciate everyone's help!

  3. i do resistance...do splits and hold them for 16 counts, then lay down on your back and put your right leg in the air. then you have someone push against it and you try to push against them pushing on you...(i know its confusing...) then stop after 8 counts and have them push your leg closer to you and then do the same thing. repeat it on the left side. i did this and i got down in my splits within a month!

  4. What we do in class is stretch out, warm up your muscles, and go down as far as possible and hold it there for about 30 seconds.

    We also do lunges, butterflies, etc. etc.

    You don't have to do them every day, though I suggest you do, but you do have to be consistent in trying. You can't just do it once and not do it again for six weeks.

  5. streach on the bed twice a day everyday thats what i do it took me a while but i can finally do it
