Spongebob Squarepants question?

Okay, i dont watch the show anymore. But i was wondering why it shows water while they're underneath water! HOW STUPID IS THAT! like when they wash their hands, it shows water, thats just weird....

You can't really say its stupid. Its a concept of their idea maybe. Spongebob and others are living life underwater and to them, the water is like our air. Cant be felt, Cant be seen or cant be tasted. So when they they wash their hands, the water that comes out is our type of water.

how could u not watch spongebob anymore. plus the target audience which is elementary school kids would not care if water came out of taps underwater

I stopped watching it a long time ago.  But I remember at the beginning of the series, the beach that Spongebob goes to was oil not water.  That narrator guy that used to come on at the beginning of the show said so.
