  1. Wow, 9 miles at 3.45am?

The only advise I can give you is to wear layers and perhaps a raincoat in the event of rain. Good strong walking shoes are a necessity if your doing all 9 miles. Remember to take water (or perhaps tea in a thermostat in case it is cold :P), and, if your the anti-social type, an iPod to make the time go quicker.

    Good luck with the walk!

  2. Good on you!  I did the race for life this year which helps cancer research and also volunteered for another race for life to help out.  9 miles is quite a walk if you are not used to it!  Get a really comfy pair of trainers to walk in, pack a rain mac (cagoule) and take lots to drink.

If you do not manage to complete the walk, I am sure your sponsors will pay you anyway for such a good cause - but I am sure, if you are doing it with a group of girls/ladies you will have a blast and the miles will fly by!  Just think of all the gossip you will get to hear!!!!!

Good luck and well done in anticipation!

    :)
