Sponsorships?

Does anyone know of any good companies, businesses, or corporations that might want to sponsor me? I star on a teen news show and am looking for sponsors.

  1. No one is going to be interested in sponsoring you unless YOU MAKE THEM INTERESTED.

What is in it for them?  Do they get any promotional benefit - that is, will you show their logo during the show or run a statment at the end that states: Promotional consideration paid by X co., or "this show brought to you by the good people at X co."?  Will you mention their product or service during the show?  Does your show address a public need or interest, and does their affiliation with your show improve their public image?   Your first step is to think this through, and then put your request in witing about why it is a good idea for a company to sponor you, and send it out to to companies that are marketing to your demographic - that is, teenagers.   What do you buy or want to buy?  What companies sell those products?  Then check their websites for an address of their promotions or marketing department and send it to them.  Follow up in a week or so with a phone call.  As you start doing this process you will be able to perfect your pitch and sponsorship package, and eventually, find a sponsor.

Sorry, it is a long and involved process, but if you follow thru you may find yourself with several sponsors, and that's what counts in the long run.
