Sporting Lisbon's Fito Rinaudo will return to training in January
Sporting Lisbon midfielder, Fito Rinaudo, is expected to start training in January after slowly making his way back from an ankle fracture he suffered in November.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Argentina-c2841 International, Fito Rinaudo, has been on the sidelines for the past few months as he has been recuperating from a broken ankle he suffered against Vaslui in the UEFA Europa League.
The defensive midfielder was typically putting up a hardworking performance for the Lions in the 2nd tier European competition, when the game was marred by a horrific injury on the 8th minute.
Rinaudo tried to intercept an opposition pass and lunged with commitment; however he failed to achieve his objective and damaged himself quite badly in the process. After immediately being stretchered off, the club doctors determined that the player had
fractured his tibia and fibula.
Having not featured since, the player had been nursing himself back to full fitness and according to his brother was thinking of nothing other than getting back on the pitch as soon as possible.
"He has begun physical therapy. He has also began to move his toes and is progressing well,” he said.
Leandro also added that besides resting at home, his brother had been working out at the academy and was trying to maintain his shape.
"He was resting at home, but he has already started working at the Academy, so everything is going good,” http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Leandro-Rinaudo-c21843 was quoted as saying.
Thanks to his determination and will to recover quickly, good news is on the horizon for Rinaudo. According to the latest reports, the player is healing earlier than expected and could be back in training in January.
Although he will not start any high intensity practices upon his return, he will work his way to regaining his touch before joining his teammates in regular training, where he will be assessed by Domingos Paciencia.
If Rinaudo is able to demonstrate that the long spell on the sidelines haven’t deterred his abilities and that he can still be a pivotal for the Lisbon outfit, then he could be back in contention for a place in competitive action shortly.
