Sporting CP have agreed a deal with their Italian counterparts, Parma FC, for striker Valeri Bojinov. The 25-year-old caught the eye of the club with is performances in Serie A, and Sporting have finally secured his services.

After his time with the Bianconeri, he was sold to Manchester City for a fee of £5.75 million in 2007. However his spell at the City of Manchester Stadium was marred by niggling injuries and he could not perform to the best of his abilities with the Blues
and later opted for a return to Italy with Parma in 2010.
Bojinov’s displays for Parma enticed Sporting to open their cheque book once again and they parted with €3.5m to lure the player to Estadio Jose Alvalade.
The move has come at a great time for the Bulgarian International, as the Portuguese outfit are in the process of rebuilding their team. Benfica director approves Fabio Coentrao’s transfer to Madrid
