Sporting Lisbon target Panathinaikos midfielder Sotiris Ninis

Portuguese giants, Sporting Lisbon, are reportedly looking to sign http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sotiris-Ninis-c33835 in the upcoming transfer window. The midfielder has been one of the most coveted assets in Europe and the Lions have also registered an interest in acquiring his services.
Sotiris Ninis, 21, is touted to be one of the most promising talents of Greek football and has become renowned in recent years as one of the best young players in Europe.
Although not famed for his ability to get on the score sheet regularly, the former Apollon Smyrnis man possesses a fearsome long rang shot and is famed for his spectacular goals.
With appearances in the UEFA Champions League, the Greek International has been tested against the elite of the continent and has come out with flying colours, as he led Panathinaikos to a great run in the prestigious European competition a couple of seasons
ago.
His performances have not gone unnoticed and Manchester United are thought to be on the trail of the attacking midfielder. The Reds have been searching for options in the centre of the park and the Ethniki International has been one of their top targets.
Sporting Lisbon have also entered the race as United’s interest has cooled and are now thought to be favourites in landing his signature.
The Sportinguistas already boast some quality players in their ranks such as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Elias-c12267, but with the addition of Ninis they could become genuine title-contenders and truly counter their rivals.
However Benfica are also monitoring the situation and are allegedly looking to sign the Greek as a replacement for Nicolas Gaitan, who is believed to be wanted by Sir http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 Ferguson at Old Trafford.
As the transfer window approaches, both the clubs will make their respective bids for the player but it remains to be seen if Panathinaikos are willing to let their prized asset leave.
Ninis has become a leading light for the Super League outfit and is integral to Jesualdo Ferreira’s plans for the season. So prising him out of the club’s hands will be a tough task but not an impossible one, as the right amount of money could persuade them
to sell the player.
