Sporting Lisbon want Manchester City defender Stefan Savic
It is being reported that Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon are eying up a deal, which could see them land Manchester City defender and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Stefan-Savic-c34022. However, Sporting are looking to bring the player in as part of a loan deal and
will be more than willing to let him return back to City at the end of the season.
Savic went on to join City in the summers from Partizan, for a fee of around six million pounds. Since then, he has been sidelined by the team and has made only a handful of appearances for the club.
Having started only six game for the Premier League club so far, the player and his agent believe that he needs more field time and he can only achieve that if he goes out on loan.
The player’s agent is quoted to have said: "It is true that he is on his way out of City in January and that he will leave on loan"
Sporting are currently in search of a centre back, since they have been having their fair share of defensive problems over the course of the last couple of weeks. With the team not having a lot of funds on their hands to go shopping with, they are looking
to try and bring in a player on loan.
At the same time, with Savic being more than willing to go away on loan, it seems like things might be falling perfectly into place for Sporting.
Nonetheless, City might be a little reluctant on letting Savic leave at the moment. The team is set to lose out on Yaya Toure and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Kolo-c21278 Toure, both of whom will be heading out for the African Cup of Nations and in their absence, the team is more than likely
to turn to Savic and use him to fill in the void left by the departing duo.
However, with Savic looking to secure first team action for a time frame that is longer than a month, the player might manage to convince his manager that it would be smarter to let him leave for the coming six months.
