Sporting Lisbon winger Diogo Salomao to sign for Deportivo La Coruna on loan - Report
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sporting-89-c40576 Ace, Diogo Salomao, is on the on the verge of completing a loan move to Deportivo La Coruna.
The Portuguese U-21 International will be undergoing a medical with the Spanish outfit and according to the Deportivo director, Rafael Carpachio, the transfer will be concluded ‘in the next few hours'.
Salomao was initially on the books of Estrela Amadora, Damaiense and Casa Pia as a youth player, the latter being where he established himself as a star of the future. He rose up the ranks at Estádio Pina Manique and became a regular feature for the Portuguese
side. He netted an impressive 6 times in only 14 appearances for the club and soon attracted attention from bigger clubs in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Portugal-c2984.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Real-c30728 Massamá snapped up the 22-year-old and introduced him to 2nd division football. His stint at the helm lasted only a year as the highly-rate prospect was on the move again, this time to the highest division of Portuguese Football in the form
of Sporting Lisbon.
The midfielder did not live up to his reputation at Estadio Jose Alvalade and could not break into the first team. Despite being a fringe player, he managed to show his class albeit in substitute appearances for the Lions, finding the back of the net 2 times
in 13 outings for the Lisbon outfit.
The winger now faces a fresh challenge in the Spanish second division and will be looking to play in as many games as possible for the Blues and Whites.
Rumors have emerged suggesting that the loan deal maybe part of bigger transaction between the club, as La Coruna’s Portuguese counterparts have registered their desire to sign their coveted star,  Andres Guardado. According to media reports, Sporting have
coughed up a 6.5 € million deal to lure the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Atlas-c38538 player’s arrival.
Since the relegation of La Coruna from La Liga, Guardado has been linked with several European clubs but the Lisbon-based side are believed to be the front-runners in the race to sign him.
The Tricolour International is fresh from his excursions in the ultimately successful Gold Cup campaign and will be looking for a top quality side which can provide a regular stage to take his game to the next level.
But Riazor Supremo, Carpachio, was bent on quashing all the rumours surrounding his prized asset.
"One thing has nothing to do with the other, those are two different operations.”

"There are several Portuguese clubs interested in Guardado, including Sporting, but there is no progress in that matter right now."
But with the club’s relegation to the Segunda División, they may be fighting a lost battle to keep their star player.
