Both sides continued to pressurize each other, but the game hardly made its way to the penalty box as midfielders reigned supreme. Braga, however, were better than their opponents and eventually saw Mossoro draw out a good save from Rui Patricio.
After the break, Sporting showed their strength and nearly got off to a flying start as Matias Fernandez’s effort cannoned off the post after 48 minutes.
While the Lisbon side were in ascendancy during the opening exchanges of the second half, it was Braga who took the lead when http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lima-c22267’s pass was picked by Hugo Viana and comfortably placed in the back of the net.

Following the blunt display by the Sportinguistas, Domingos Paciencia said that his team will have to considerably up their game in the remaining few matches of the Primeira Liga and correct the errors which led to the defeat.
"There are 15 more games left and we must do more to win. We have to think game by game and see what we can do. There is much work to do; many players have to improve. It was noted tonight, that the team got worse and now several players in trouble. We will review this, so that does not happen again.”
“SC Braga scored two goals and we just one. We went wrong in the game and had only 10 minutes to respond. We could have scored, but we did not,” Domingos Paciencia said.
Sporting Lisbon now take on Penafiel at home on the 18th of January in the League Cup.
