Sports boats?

My bf said he promised his mum that he would take the boat out today.

His mum is away and it's just him going. He invited me but I'm working.

Do sports boats need to be taken out every once in a while to maintain it's engine or something?

The absolute worst thing for a boat is to sit. Running a boat at least once a month is the only way to make sure it will stay running. Fuel will go stale, batteries will die, and moving parts like steering and shift and throttle cables will sieze up.
