im going to a mets game in a later and im meeting my friend in 2 hours plz give me a crash course of everything i need to kno about the mets this season and some popular player names plz!

the other players are Arhenius Reyes (not sure if that's spelled right), Fernando Tatis (LF) Endy Chavez (RF) and Ramon Castro (catcher.)

pitchers: Johan Santana, Pedro Martinez, Oliver Perez, John Maine (who is on the DL), and Mike Pelfrey

they were doing really bad in the first half. they had a great july. Watch Jose Reyes. he is really fast and is so exciting. Jerry Manuel is the manager now, after Willie Randoph was fired in June. Tatis is hitting a lot of homeruns.

Jose Reyes is the speedster of the team. I think he is the leadoff hitter.

3rd baseman David Wright is coming off of a walk off homer against the Padres.

Oliver Perez is not even close to a good pitcher. Fernando Tatis is on a super hot streak and he's basically Mr. Clutch for them.

Jose Reyes, one of the best leadoff hitters in the game.

Then you have guys like Carlos Beltran, Carlos Delgado, David Wright, Fernando Tatis,  Murphy, Castro, the catcher. Along with pitchers, Pedro Martinez, Oliver Perez, Mike Pelfrey, JOhn Maine, Billy Wagner the closer, and the inconsistent Heilman middle reliever. Cheer loudly, they will need it.

Mets are in 3rd place behind the Phillies and Marlins, they fired their manager WIllie Randolph a little over a month ago because the team was playing very poorly. Their closer Billy Wagner has blown a lot of games for them too. the new york metropolitans are currently 110-0 on the season,ricky williams,the starting goaltender,was arrested for betting on games,then there is dennis rodman,co captain and star linebacker,has hit 9287 touchdowns this year,they have other good players too,like chad johnson,the 4th basemen,sidney crosby is the center,brett favre,even though you never hear much about him anymore,is the oldest on the team and still is the starting relief pitcher..the legend of the team though,and currently the manager,is bob knight,

some other things to know,tim donaghy usually umpires every mets game,and they have just recently called up a prospect named aaron rodgers to be the running back
