Sports in the miliatary

Question

I wanna know what type of sports there are in the military like wrestling, Football and other sports. The reason i ask is because my wrestling coach told me he wrestled in the army.

I am not aware of any football team other than the military academies.I did play football years ago for the unit I was assigned to.  It was  7 man tackle (almost like arena football) and you competed with other teams on your Post. The best teams played the best team from another Post and you moved up the chain playing teams from a group of installations within an area of States ( North,South.East West) until you became the champ of the Army.  They stopped playing that years ago as people were getting hurt pretty bad (every man was an eligible receiver.)

All the services have baseball teams, wrestling, boxing, shooting, archery, as well as track and field.They the same sports that are in olympic competetion. You may be from a certain branch of the military but you may compete for a spot on the U.S. Olympic Team and represent your branch of service.  If you are good enough to be selected  then you will do that full time during your enlistment. You must first complete the job training you signed up for.

hahah welll  I'm a wrestler my self Top 16 at state  (TX) and thats a good question i want to   wrestle in the navy though

yes you can play sports in the military

The Marine Corps has many different all Marine teams

boxing

football

wresteling

soccer

Tae kwon doe

rugby

Its a pretty sweet gig if you can get on one of the teams

as well as alot of bases have different leagues.

if he wrestled in army, i would then assume there are sports in the army.
