Sports in the winter olympics?

what sporting events are played in the winter Olympics and are they in china too? and are they played before the summer Olympics or after?

well pretty sur enot in china- 2004 summer was in athens and the 2006 winter was in turin.

winter is held every 4 years- but 2 years after summer (or before, depends which way you look at it)

From my reading of past Olympic Games, the interval is 4 years and the summer games is 2 years before the winter games and the numbering code is each  its own in running order e.g. this summer is 29th but the winter in two years time is a smaller number.

Anyone to support or correct me?  Oh!!! Winter Olympics is snow & ice games.

The winter Olympics are held every 4 years, just like the summer games. The difference is that they are held interspersed so that every 2 years we have an Olympic games. The next winter Olympics will be held in Vancouver, BC Canada in 2010. The games are never held in the same place concurrently (summer and winter).

The are so many sports in the games that it is hard to list. All types of skiing, snowboarding, ice skating, hockey, curling, bobsled, luge, skeleton, etc.
