Sports jersey question?

lets say your sports team you are on likes the light jerseys better than the dark ones.. can you wear the light ones to away games instead of the dark ones? im not talking about football (where light=away and dark=home). im talking about how it would actually be opposite. thanks, best answer 10 points!
