  1. This will hurt, no doubt. I hope its only a 15-day stint, because any longer, we would be in SERIOUS trouble. With the way Joba has been pitching, its hard to deal with our pitching staff consisting of

    1. Mike Mussina

    2. Andy Pettitte

    3. Sidney Ponson

    4. Dan Geise

    5. Ian Kennedy? Rasner?

It doesnt look good for a playoff push, so we will rely heavily on out offense and bullpen.

  2. I'm not gonna lie, the whole Joba situation hurts. It is a big blow to our already questionable pitching rotation. Now this all depends on how returning players will perform. We need Kennedy and Hughes to step it up and I honestly don't really know what to expect from them.

  3. Hopefully this is just shoulder tendonitis.  Regardless, from what I hear on Sportscenter, Joba is not going to start anymore.  He will go back to being the 8 inning set-up man.

The Yankees are going to have an uphill battle to make the playoffs.  The Rays don't want to lose.  Kennedy is not the answer.  I hate to say it but they should have taken Hernandez off of waivers.

  4. Joba just couldn't do it as a starter. I thought that all along. Now, it'll probably be back to the bullpen for him, and what does that do to his head?

  5. not much hes good but hes not jake peavy or johan santana also they wouldnt make it with or without him

  6. Joba is a chump. I think that it doesn't effect the YANKS palyoff push at all. Kennedy will step up and get the job done. But, let's hope that with the addition of Nady, and Pudge, that the Yanks can get pass both the RedSox and the Rays.

  7. With already all the pressure in New York to succeed, just more pressure is going to be put on this rookie pitcher. Joba did a good job handling it, but how will Ian Kennedy respond?

  8. Sportsecenter doesnt announce anything! They just find a report and say its theirs! NY Times Reported it!

Honestly even as a yankees fan this COULD be the nail to the coffin or however you say it. They need kennedy and hughes to come back and do great or else!

  9. I believe this can go either way for the Yankees.  If Ian Kennedy can rise to the occasion and not let the pressure get to him, then the yankees have a chance at the playoffs.  If he lets it get to him, the yankees could have a big problem on there hands, with the Rays still looking strong and the Red Sox still doing good, they need every win thay can to be infront of the Sox in September.

  10. I think the Yankees will fail to make the playoffs.
