Question:

Sportster....spark plugs?

indianjohn told me that i have left-handed threads on my 95 sporty sparkplugs,been trying to get them out for 3 hours now,anybody have any ideas ?

  1. Yeah, you're doin' the back jug first. That's RH. It's the front jug that's LH. You usin' the special sockets?(they're marked F&R) They cut the time down to 2 hours.


  2. yeah sometimes it takes a little internal pressure to break those left hand threads loose.

    a half stick of dynamite in each drag pipe should be about right. be sure to use the electric blasting caps so they both go off at exactly the same time.

    hold a wrench on each plug when you set them off.

    oddly enough this used to be called an Indian repair kit.

    the Indian guys said a harley repair kit was a sledge hammer & an axe.

    incidentally, I knew long front ends were out of style but the bike in your picture may be carrying things a little too far the other way.

    my favorite tool is the left handed screwdriver
