Spot-Fixing Chronicles: Salman Butt plans to earn a Law degree
After failing to prove his innocence in a London Court regarding his alleged involvement in spot-fixing, the left-hand batsman Salman Butt has decided to earn a degree in Law while he spends time in an English prison.
Butt, who was sentenced to 30 months in jail last week, is destined to live a life of ignominy after thrashing the reputation of Pakistan cricket because of his greed to earn more in less time.
However, unreliable sources inside Wandsworth jail have confirmed that the self proclaimed innocent spot-fixer has decided to make use of his time in prison by earning a degree in law.
It is believed that Butt blames his lack of education in criminal law that resulted in his demise and if he had a degree in Law he would have evaded getting caught.
While talking to this scribe in his free time, the former Test Captain of Pakistan said, “I have learned my mistake, I should have been more careful; I should have had more knowledge about law and order which would have helped me prove my innocence.”
Butt insisted that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) should introduce a Law degree programme for young cricketers which would facilitate upcoming potential spot-fixers in securing a safer livelihood.
A source on a condition of anonymity declared that Butt was looking to recruit new members in the jail so that once he comes out he will have a better and wider circle of spot-fixers.
It is believed that Butt would be giving evening teaching classes to inmates on means to take up spot-fixing which would help many earn a better living.
Police experts believe that since most criminals in England are not aware of the ways necessary for spot-fixing, Butt will prove of great significance to them once he starts his inmate-education programme.
Meanwhile, it has been reported that Butt was received with arms wide open by prisoners as they are eager to learn from the spot-fixing maestro.
“We can learn a lot from the little bloke, he is an inspiration for many of us, we will surely benefit from his tenure in this jail,” said http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750
this summer.

update his facebook status on regular basis.
Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg has reported to this scribe that Butt after developing differences with his co-conspirator http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mohammad-Asif-c1993 has blocked his fallen brother from his friends list.
It is believed that Butt does not want to keep any contact with Asif after the seamer blamed him for the whole spot-fixing debacle.
Butt has also pledged not to buy any ice-cream from Asif’s shop which the seamer has opened inside the jail to earn an honest living.
“I will never buy anything from Asif’s shop; he is a disgrace to me and the whole Pakistan society. I was innocent until Asif spilled the beans. Asif got the lion’s share when we divided the corrupt payments and yet he pinned the whole debacle on me for
that I will never forgive him,” said Butt.
