Spot-fixing controversy motivated the Pakistan team, says Misbah ul Haq – Cricket News Update

international cricket.
The spot-fixing scandal broke out during Pakistan’s tour of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mohammad-Amir-c76675 were found guilty of bowling deliberate no-balls during a Test match at Lord’s.
The International Cricket Council (http://www.senore.com/Cricket/ICC-World-Cup-2011-c100625) banned the three players from competitive cricket, and they were sentenced to jail following criminal proceedings at the Southwark Crown Court, London. The controversy gave Pakistan cricket a bad name and they were
calls that the Green Shirts should be banned from international cricket.
Since the unfortunate incident, the Pakistan team has had a change in fortunes. They have not lost a Test series since August 2010.
They have continued their astronomical rise against the No. 1 Test team England as well, winning the ensuing Test series with a match to spare. They currently lead the three-match series, 2-0.
Misbah said that the controversy united the Pakistan team and he urged them to prove their credentials. Pakistan captain feels that the major reason behind the success of the Green Shirts is the team spirit as the players are enjoying each other’s success.
Misbah said, “After the spot-fixing scandal the players discussed things and we unanimously agreed that we need to just do well. I am happy that we have been playing with lot of focus, dedication and discipline. The players have lots of faith in each other
and their abilities to perform under pressure."
However, the captain understands that the Pakistan team must carry on the hard work if they are to do well in conditions which are conducive to fast bowling.
"We need to work harder and remain focused if we are to win in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757 or England. Conditions in this series suited us, our batting and our spinners," the middle order batsman added.
