Spotlight Live and Butter restaurant in NYC?

Hey! i am plannig on doing something in the city for my Sweet 16 like going out to dinner someplace nice.....not a chain restaurant. i was thinking about "Butter" or Spotlight Live.....i was wondering how much a private event usually goes for at Sotlight Live and how much plates usually are at Butter (the websites dont say)? also if anyone has any other suggestions of really nice or fun places let me know! thanks!

  1. Those are two really different places!

    If it is your Sweet 16, I think Spotlight Live is a much better idea.  It is right in Times Square and is appropriate for all ages and in general is a more "fun" atmosphere.

    They have a Sweet 16 package for $45 per person.

    Butter is more of an upscale dinner club, and it will be hard to even get a group of 16 year-olds into the place!  Appetizers run from $14 - $20 and entrees run $27 - $35.  This is definitely a more high-end place.


  2. Butter is trendy c**p - and no one cool really goes there anymore.  Once upon a time celebs used to go there, but now it's all scenesters.  Oh, and the food is terrible too, and the service sucks.

    Stick with the Sportlight,  sounds like a better time.
