Ok, we were at my son's football practice lastnight and my girl was off with the usual crew of preschool kids running around in the field. Well, when we got home she asked to wash her hands, and was in the bathroom for quite awhile (15mins or so) when I asked her what she was doing, thinking she was just playing in the sink, and she said she was still trying to get the spots off! I didnt think much of it at the time, thinking that she got into something and it would come off on its own. These spots dont irritate her at all. But today I am concerned because after two long baths (at least 30mins) and playing at the beach all day, they havent even faded?! Its patchy, not like a solid spot, just a bunch of small, not round, brownish spots.

A quick run down of what she was doing - playing around some bushes - didn't see any berries, they were gathering sticks, rolling around one of the training bags they use for the kids to charge into, they were piling up rocks and besides that kicking a soccer ball, racing and chasing each other. She also went in the bathroom, not a porta potty, which I was there and saw her washing her hands.

Does anyone know what this could be?!

  1. Hand foot and mouth disease.

  2. Man, I wish I could remember the name of this plant, but I cant. My son(who gets into everything,), was playing with some things on the ground, he was gathering them up, and later. after gathering he decided to squash them all. Whatever thes were, the small amount of wetness in them after he squishied, stuck to him, just like stain. Lasted four or five days. Sorry I cant remember what it was, but it could also be sap, I'm told the results are similar.

  3. Well if they don't Itch she could be allergic to grass my son is allergic to grass and his spots sound just like what she has on her hand. GOOD LUCK

  4. they don't itch her at all I would watch them to see but honest first guess was they are freckles they don't have to be on your face and they can pop up at any time you don't have to be born with them. I may be wrong because I'm not a doctor but if you don't see her scratching it and it doesn't spread that's the best guess you can bring her to the doctor if you like and see what the doctor says.
