Spotter scope for and 8 inch reflected teloscope?

I need to buy

a spotters scope for an 8 inch reflected teloscope. I need to know what is the best to get and where to go get it at Please. I been looking at the moon and tonight I found Saturn. So cool. HELP Please

  1. Most 8 inch reflectors use an 50mm finder scope like this one:

    Wow, finding Saturn is an accomplishment.  It is the wrong season for that planet and it is only around 10-15 degrees above the horizon at sunset.


  2. I suggest something like the Stellarvue F50.

    I like right angle finders because they're much easier to work with if you're looking near the zenith.

    This one has a focuser for the eyepiece, and you can use other 1.25" eyepieces with it too.

    I've seen many people claim it's a perfect vacation scope.  While it performs well as a finder, there are limitations to what a 2" F4 achromat can do.  

    If your budget is larger, and your mount is beefy enough to handle a little more weight you might look at something like the Astronomy Technologies AT66ED doublet apo scopes.
