FIRST OFF KEEP YOUR NEGATIVE OPINIONS TO YOURSELVES! MY SITUATION WAS DIFFERENT THAN YOU THINK..

Anyway, I had a surgical abortion In April.. I usually have irregular periods to begin with. There were times I did not get my period for months at a time since I started menstruating when I was about 12 or 13. The doctors said nothing was wrong, thats just how my body is (prepregnancy).. But, after that abortion I still did not get my full period. I spotted once before I started spotting this time about a month or so ago.. and ive been spotting for the last few days-week. Is this normal? Whats going on help me lol?..

AND PS I DO HAVE AN APPOINTMENT NEXT WEEK WITH AN OBGYN, JUST WONDERING ON YOUR OPINIONS ABOUT THAT.. Thank You!

  1. I used to always have irregular periods and after my abortion (at 18yrs old) I had a period for like 2 weeks straight, and had some spotting right before for like a week ....then things went to normal when I got on the depo shot

    good luck

  2. Even after having a baby some women don't have there normal period until 4 to 6 weeks after the birth. I mean there is normal bleeding that you have after having a baby, but that's not your monthly cycle at work. Maybe it's the same way after you had your abortion and it depends on what type of abortion that you had too. If you had a tubal pregnacy then it can be diffrent than when you have an D&E abortion. So I would ask your Dr when you go in for your appointment.

  3. The only thing that helped my irregular periods was going on Birth Control called "Nordette".  It is fabulous and didn't cause the mood swings that other birth controls have caused.

I had to take it because, after I miscarried, my periods went completely out-of-control.

  4. Hi. I had an abortion at the beginning of May. I bled constantly for about a month and a half then i spotted for a while before I finally had a "regular period." The doctors told me the bleeding and spotting was normal but I had my doubts. Turns out that they were right though. I just had a very normal period. My check up was fine and everything seems back to normal. I'm back on my birth control pills which do wonders for regulating my period. When I went in for my check up I asked the doctor about the bleeding and he told me some people have spotting moths after an abortion, it is just different from person to person. I think your body might just be taking its time getting back to normal, especially since your not bleeding excessively. I started taking birth control years and years ago because of my irregular periods and now they come like clockwork so they might help you too if that's an option for you. I think your body is just taking it's time getting back to normal. Hang in there. A regular period will come in due time. I hope this helped at least a little. Good luck.

  5. It sounds like your cycles are extremely irregular anyway and this may have made it worse, as far as irregularity.  Just chill and talk to your doctor.  It doesn't sound serious.

  6. Your Dr's. appointment is the best way to get answers. I am glad you have an appointment.

Did you go for your six week exam ? That is very important.

Since this sort of question is really about women's health, I bet you'll get better answers and less negative opinions if you place further questions there.Just trying to help.

    Good luck.
