Spotting before a period?

thank you for all your answers. The spotting was not red it was brown. So i'll guess i will wait for af to arrive. I have had spotting before but it lasts for 2 days and then af comes on the 3rd day. i spotted sat but didnt last a full day, now its wed and no af, should i wait till end of month for af to arrive or go to a gp. I am 25.

If you think that there is a possibility that you may be pregnant I would contact your Dr or at the least take a HPT.  Before I became pregnant with my son I had a very strange episode of bleeding.  It was very heavy but lasted only about 2 hours (sorry if TMI).  My Dr told me that bleeding in early pregnancy can often be a sign of a lack of some hormones that your body may need.  Therefore, if you think that you may be pregnant, I would find out ASAP.
