I'm 11 1/2 weeks and I'm having a little bit of spotting. I went to the hospital and they ran some test and told me that everything looked normal. They did an u/s and my baby was perfectly fine heart beats normal. And my cervix is closed but I'm still worried about what could be causing this spotting. Has anyone went through this before?????

  1. You did the right thing by getting checked out.  Spotting is pretty normal especially if it is light.  Heavy bleading or clotting is not normal.  One of my good friends spotted every month during all 4 of her pregnancies.

  2. If the Doctor said your ok and the baby is fine in the u/s. Just try and rest.Don't stress yourself about ok? Relax and don't think negative, remember we attract what we think of.

  3. I had spotting or actually more or less bleeding at 17 weeks, to be honest it scared the HECK out of me!  But the Doctor said everything was fine, I just over did it, cleaning for Easter Dinner! lol  Just try and take it easy, I had a perfectly healthy 8lbs. baby boy!  Good luck!

  4. Yes, I had that around the same time.  My coworker had quite a bit of bleeding around 12 weeks.  Both of us turned out fine.  If you start cramping, then you should visit your doctor.  Stay off your feet, relax and try not to stress.  If you don't feel right, then make another apptointment.  Good luck!

  5. Currently, I'm going through the same thing.  Although my spotting started at week 6.  After doing my research and talking to nearly every person I know that has had a child, spotting during the first trimester happens to about 20% of women.  My RN told me to drink some raspberry tea to help strengthen the uterine wall (I included some links for your reference).  She also told me that it is normally caused by either slight ruptures in the cervix or just the placenta settling in to the uterus.

Also, it is most common during first pregnancies.  If its your first and the u/s shows normal, than you probably have nothing to worry about.  If it gets worse, than go in, otherwise its normal.

  6. i am so sorry I have no idea what you are talkin about but if your docter says everything is OK then your fineee! :)

  7. I haven't been through it, but you may just be overworking yourself. Causing stress to your body would definitely cause spotting. Good luck with everything!

  8. my docor has told me that u can spot up till 3 months and nothing will be wrong but some times that means something can be wrong but dont worrie im sure that if the doctor told u everything was ok it is . but if u wanna be on the safe side they tell u in books to rest n drink water .

  9. My best friend experienced spotting and the pregnancy went well.  Her previous pregnancy did not have spotting.  I also know of one other woman, 5 pregnancies and 6 children! Who experienced spotting with all of her pregnancies.  Again all of those pregnancies went well.  I know it must be hard but do not panic, for some pregnancies spotting is normal. As long as the doctor thinks all is well try to relax and accept that this is normal for your pregnancy. Only if other problems occur should you then worry. In the meantime worrying now will do more harm than good. Good luck.

  10. Yes, I have three kids and I would have some spotting on 2 of my pregnancies for the first three months.  I was at my dr's office all the time because I was afraid something was wrong.  There is nothing your dr. can do but to check the baby and make sure it's fine.  My dr. would tell me to try to stay off my feet as much as I could for the first 3 months.   My kids are perfectly normal.   Try to get the most rest you can.  Good Luck and take care.
